WIFI

Always assume someone is monitoring your data over public Wi-Fi. Don’t access your sensitive data such as financial information over public Wi-Fi. Don’t change your passwords, and beware of entering credentials while using public Wi-Fi. Whenever possible, don’t use a public Wi-Fi network without a VPN. Rather, use your cellular network (4G/LTE/5G). If you have a mobile device with a personal hotspot function, use this over public Wi-Fi.

identity

Identity theft, fraud, and data breaches affect tens of millions of people in the U.S. each year. This is why it’s important to be cautious with your identifying information—both online and in the real world. Using a passcode helps ensure that someone else can’t get into your sensitive Information stored on your device. Don't reply to emails asking for personal banking information, even if they have a company logo! Financial institutions will never ask for personal information via email.

Better worlds NGO - is an International Non-governmental Organization working on global concerns like Cybercrime and provides focused technical assistance, prevention and awareness raising, international cooperation and analysis on the phenomenon, principally in United States and Germany. We started our journey by supporting victims of Cyber Crime. We used to raise Cyber Awareness among these individuals and answer their questions. Recent increase in Cyber Crimes around the nation and the world have sparked concern among us. Better worlds NGO is the result of that little spark that kindled a vision within our team. In the majority of Cyber Cases, we discovered that the victims lacked Cyber Awareness. Better worlds NGO was established in response to the ongoing Digital Movement in our country. As the world advances into a digital era, it has become essential to be aware of the fraud and crimes that are committed by exploiting technology.

A person has to be Aware of Cyber Treats to avoid becoming a victim of it. We believe in a motto that states “Cyber security begins with you”

Cyber security is a worldwide phenomenon that poses a complicated sociotechnical challenge to governments, but also requires the participation of citizens. Despite the fact that cyber security is one of the most significant concerns governments confront today, public understanding and visibility still remains restricted. Better worlds NGO aims to not only raise awareness about cyber security but also work against the said crime. All too frequently, people mistakenly believe that the Internet is a secure medium for conducting businesses and influencing the actual world. However, there is an urgent need to improve preparedness as cyber battles are already in progress. The inability to conceptualize cyber security has prevented the development of effective policies.
